I just love this granite top. Don't you. It's blueish green. Well, once again, construction supplies are piled ontop of my crates of holiday decorations. Sooooooo, I am decorating with candy. Heye, its cheap, looks good in my vintage green bowls, and everyone loves it. I had bought some little dolls to send in with smiles, but I grabbed the little pumpkin girl, isn't she the cutest. She is from our fun garage sale day. The green bowl is ontop of my red granite cutting board, it is huge, and I can't move it around, so I have it ontop of the dog cage, it makes a great table. It was my Christmas gift one year from Scott and Tiffany.

Here's the fabric selection for the turtle shell. I can't decide which one to make. What do you think would be the best choice.

We went to a 85 booth indoor gargae sale. It was fun, lots of cheap junk, comfortable air conditioning, and this cute little turtle footstool. I was going to make him a patchwork shell, and hammer it on with little tacks. My daughters think it would be kool to make the shells as little pillows and put them on with velcro, so the grandkids could dress Mr. Turtle. Turtle shells to follow....... like I needed a new project.

Our new bath towels, isn't the color just yummy. I love the icey greens that are out this summer.

Wow, look what I found when I was cleaning, 54 eco bags for the Smiles Project. These are made from Sewing for Sarah Designs. Love her projects. So these are packed, ready to go to the post office. Glad I found these. We are getting ready for our Christmas mailings so every bit helps. All you stash busters, the Smiles Project is a great way to use up all your unwanted fabric. hint, hing.

Here's a bunch of airplanes for SmilesProject.com. Thanks for the design, it is the cutest. These are pencil toppers as little treats for the kiddo's getting the wonderful little bags.

This is made from Altoids cans. You embroidery the little label, and glue it on top. Then I get to fill the little box with junk.

Well this is what a pile of goodies ready to go to SmileProject looks like. I had lots of fun filling the bags. Can you see the cute carnival toys that hubbies work donated to the project. There is plastic rings, and the bright little cirles are tiny frizbees. Oh, and little plastic spider rings.

not for the squeamish

HELP, HELP, lizards have taken over my house. Aren't they cute. The cute little barn has a little pocket in the back to hold little animals. This was a Design by Sick design. I can't remember where I bought the lizards. hmmmmmm These are going to the Smiles Project.

Gail, do you recognize the lizard fabric, it was in your wonderful box.

This is what Kev's poor little pinky looks like. This is the one the mean Doctor said didn't need care. Even on the antibotics, thorough cleaning, and being professional wrapped, he has yellow pus leaking out. Yuck, yuck, yuc. But he's not in much pain. Thank goodness he decided to have a second doctor look at it.

No sewing going on here!!!

Look at Mr. Carrot Face. We have been trying him out on baby foods in case we have a storm and I can't make him fresh food. He loves the strained carrots. Boy, hasn't he grown. Imagine finding him roaming the house, when you go to the lady's room in the middle of the night. Luckly, he can't get out of this cage, yahoo.

Poor Mr. Kevin, he cut a finger, we sat for 3 hours in the ER, the ugly dr, ripped off the bandage, didn't even inspect the finger, and deemed it ok, no stitches needed. This was after 3 RN's, and a Nurse Practioner said it needed stitches. He sent Kev home with no painkillers, no antibotics, and instructions on how to clean the scratch. Well, off to second ER, deadening of the hand, cleaning of the hand, minor surgery to remove the dead flesh, "that would never heal", according to the nice Dr., 3 deep stitches, antibotics, painkillers, and another appt to make sure it will be ok. In and out in less then an hour. Ok, the funny part, I AM EMPLOYEED AT THE FIRST HOSPITAL. IF THEY TREAT EMPLOYEES LIKE THIS, HOW DO THEY TREAT STRANGERS. sSheeze, not a good day. But so happy we went to the second hospital. wonder how our insurance company will feel about this. hmmmmmmmmm

Babies ready to go

Here's the complete set. Next to the rattler is a tiny bottle. I wish I had bought enough to put 2 in each set. I did change the sets so that each one has a Christmas Print receiving blanket.

Do you see the tiny quilt. It's a 6 inch square that my good friend Peggy S. gave me to do charity sewing. I thought it was wonderful to be able to make this bunting so special. Thanks Peggy S.

Whew, I have finally finished enough baby sets to get them ready to send to the Smiles Project.

Each set has a baby, a tiny bottly, rattler, 4 little receiving blankets, 2 buntings, and a little carrying purse. My daughters told me not to match all the pieces, as I have a habit of doing, so there is plenty of colors in this set. What do you think, is there enough pieces in a set for the little girls to play with?

Wedding dresses

Can't figure out how to turn the pics. Well, our baby is engaged. This is the third time I have had the joy of Bridal Dress shopping. I always love it. I can show these, because they are definite no's. I love the sideways one. It was really heavy, covered with beads. She did not like the weight. Well, a whole day of trying on dreses, not one winner. She had it narrowed down to three, then decided, she wants to start over. Oh well, we have time. She now wants a short dress, with flowers in her hair. It will be fun to try again. This time her sis is coming.
